Please meet Beautiful Buddy. Buddy is an 12-18 month old Deerhound cross who will be neutered and vaccinated before leaving for his fur ever home. Buddy was an unclaimed stray and is currently in foster with 3 small female dogs. Buddy is a very gentle and calm boy who is timid initially but does bond quickly with gentle reassurance. He will need to live with a confident dog who can help show him the way and who will play with him but not be too boisterous as he takes time to build confidence with other dogs. If a dog chases him he will run away and has never shown any aggression to people or dogs.
Because Buddy is quite shy initially we are looking for a home with older, calm children as he would find younger children a bit too much! He is living with a cat who hisses at him and he generally ignores the cat but has barked at him once. If he was to live with a cat it would need to be a dog savvy cat who doesn’t run away or hiss at him! He is housetrained as long as he is reminded of toilet breaks but has started to whine to be let out. He has been left for a few hours without any problems. He will steal food off the counter if it’s left out! He has good recall off lead.
Buddy is chilled out at home and will sleep once he’s had his walks. He travels well in the car.
