This handsome boy is called Charlie and he is a 5 year old Brittany. He is in Spain until he has an adoption offer. A Brittany is a breed of gun dog bred primarily for bird hunting. Although it is often referred to as a Spaniel, the breed’s working characteristics are more akin to those of a pointer or setter. Charlie is 5 years old and is a medium sized dog – these are his measurements: height 55cm; length 60cm; weight 15kg.
Charlie is not a dominant dogs and loves playing his doggie friends. He loves people too and is a very affectionate boy. Charlie needs a home with someone who deserves to have his beautiful presence in their life! As his current owner has a large garden, he is not used to being walked on the lead. The few times they have here have not been any problems. As with all our dogs we think they all need to be walked, and Charlie is no exception. The owner has said he is an active dog with a lot of energy.
Charlie is having to be rehomed through no fault of his own. He has lived in a house for a year with a large garden, together with 7 other dogs and never created any conflict. The only problem is that another male who lives in the house does not accept him, and regularly tries to attack. Charlie’s reaction is always to flee, but he is not very happy and is afraid of the other dog.
Charlie was found on the streets of Spain and was adopted a year ago. He has been really unlucky, and we would love to find him his golden forever basket – could it be with you?
