Douggie – 7-8 month old male Pointer cross Hound

Douggie is a 7-8 month old male Pointer cross Hound. He was rescued by our charity in Cyprus around 2 months ago and has spent the last 2 months locked in a cage in the pound in Cyprus with his siblings Cara and Patches. Douggie is still in Cyprus and would love to find a home in the UK. Whilst we don’t know the exact breeds that may make up his mix, he does appear to have a bit of pointer and perhaps hound or beagle. We think he will be medium in size or perhaps a little bigger when grown.

He is a fun, friendly pup who just wants the chance of his own home. He hopes that his forever home will have someone who will be there for him, to help him settle into his new routine and learn the ropes. He would like a safe and secure garden and perhaps a corner on your sofa to snuggle with you. Oh and he can only dream of how lovely a comfy bed might be…

We have no doubt that in a loving home, with kind handling and support he has the potential to become the family pet that you want him to be. He would be happy as an only dog providing his human was there for him. He would also be very happy to share with another dog. He has not been cat tested, but in view of his age with careful introductions he may be able to share with a dog savvy cat. We would cat test for you if required.

Prior to his flight to the UK he will receive the vet preparation required, vaccinations, be microchipped, neutered and have his entry passport prepared. The adoption donation required to cover the flight and related costs to get him to you in the UK will be £500. If at the time of adoption he is too young to be neutered, the adoption donation would be £400 and we would request that you neuter him when he reaches 12 months old.

If you are interested in this gorgeous boy, who is an absolute sweetheart, then please contact us. We will be very happy to chat to you about our adoption process. It is much easier than you might think! ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO A HOME CHECK. Full post adoption support is offered by our charity. His adoption may be subject to a neutering agreement depending on his age at adoption.
